The rest of the pack is a surprise
Classic Persian city rugs are often built around a large central medallion with matching corner pieces, framed by several borders. Tabriz, Isfahan and Kashan are among the best-known rug-weaving centers in Iran: Tabriz After Midnight borrows its name from one of them, and the Persia Pack visits Heriz, Nain, Kerman and Qom.
Kilims are flat-woven rather than knotted, so they have no pile. Kilims from Anatolia are known for bold geometric motifs such as stepped and hooked diamonds in strong reds, blues and golds.
Knotted carpets have been made in Anatolia since at least the Seljuk era: some of the oldest surviving ones, from the 13th century, were found in a mosque in Konya. Uşak, in the west, became known for large medallion carpets, and its "Lotto" carpets are named after the Venetian painter Lorenzo Lotto, who put them in his paintings. Hereke is known for fine silk carpets from its imperial workshop, and the tulips and carnations of İznik tiles turn up on Turkish rugs too. Our Türkiye Pack borrows from all of them.
Eight-pointed stars, snowflakes and pine trees are classic motifs of Scandinavian knitting and weaving. Lapland New Year sets them on a midnight blue field with a garland of lights, and weaves in the year it welcomes, the way some old village rugs carry the year they were made.
Out now: Pumpkin Patch, a knotted kilim full of jack-o’-lanterns and bats; Spider Web, a web medallion with a spider, bats and crescent moons; and Ghost Night, ghosts drifting past a full moon over a little graveyard, framed in bones.

Desktop Carpet lays the rug over your Windows or Mac wallpaper and sweeps your icons underneath. Lift a corner to reach your files, let go to drop it back. Not sure what that means for your icons? Here's how hiding desktop icons works on Windows.
